Depart from place de l'église.
From the square, take the street on the right which joins the RN122, which you will follow for a few metres.
Then take the main road in the direction of Mandailles. You'll soon find the path on your right, which climbs up into the undergrowth and leads to the Bouguette viewpoint (orientation table): a short break is in order, with views of the Plomb du Cantal, the Bec de l'aigle and, of course, Puy Griou.
Continue along the path through the pastures; a little further up, fork right to start the descent.
You'll be back on the original route.
