Departure from the Col de Font de Cère parking lot.
After walking for about 1 hour along the valley side and through undergrowth, the route rises more steeply to reach a crossroads on the start of a flat area.
At this crossroads, keep to the left and continue until you reach a small clearing.
Turn right onto the path that climbs up into the moorland and into the beech forest. The path climbs up to a small pass. Take the right-hand path up into the forest. After almost 1km, the path leaves the wood to return to the summer pastures. Climb towards Puy Griou along the small path. (Round trip to the summit of Griou - technical and vertiginous climb),
Follow the GR path along the mountainside until you reach the Col de Rombière. (beautiful views of Peyre Arse and Puy Mary).
At the Rombière chairlift, continue on the GR back down to the starting point.

Good plans : The alternating freezing and thawing of the last ice age explains the scree that covers its flanks. Take a look at its 2 brothers, Griounou (1514m) and Usclade (1498m), which date back some 7 million years.
